This article mentions and discusses issues with the Brown V Board of education case in 1954. The historical context of this article is the movement to end segregation in schools. This article was created by the US first district court to document the discussion of the issues in regards to the Brown v Board of Education outcome.
This article can not share an authors point of view seen as it was created by a large group of people to document issues. However, there are lines throughout this source that share a concern for all of these issues and the feeling of trying to help. The historical significance of this article is that Brown v Board of Education is one of the first large steps that was taken to gain equal rights for people of color in the United States as well as end segregation and the concept of separate but equal. This source relates to my research as it is able to show one of the first large steps taken to give equal rights to everyone.
